Zoku

Zoku is one of Europe’s most distinctive hybrid hospitality brands – and its Copenhagen site is no exception.
Opened in 2021, Zoku Copenhagen sits in Amager Vest and the property features 160 smart loft-style rooms that combine home, office, and hotel in one. Each unit includes a fully equipped kitchen, modular furniture and a tucked-away lofted bed – making it an idea base for longer stays.
Upstairs, guests can work, connect, and unwind in Zoku’s signature rooftop Social Spaces including coworking areas, event zones and the Living Kitchen restaurant. Designed to spark casual collisions and collaboration, these communal spaces bring together travellers, locals and remote workers under one roof.
In 2024, Zoku partnered with Outsite to offer over 500 rooms across its European locations to Outsite members. This collaboration provides members with exclusive perks such as discounts, reward credits and access to Zoku’s rooftop Social Spaces, enhancing the experience for digital nomads and remote workers.
Audo House

Audo House is a design-led hybrid destination in Copenhagen that brings together boutique hotel suites, a concept store, restaurant, coworking, and cultural programming under one creatively curated roof.

The heart of Audo House is its communal experience. Guests and locals convene in spaces like the café, restaurant, flexible work zones, and the onsite concept store showcasing Nordic design brands. The property also hosts exhibitions, talks, and pop-ups—drawing creatives, entrepreneurs, and digital workers into its cultural orbit.
Audo House is owned and operated by Audo Copenhagen (formerly MENU), part of Design Holding Group alongside brands like B&B Italia and Louis Poulsen. While no new locations are currently announced, the brand continues to blur boundaries between design, hospitality, and lifestyle – positioning itself as a flagship for future creative expansion.

Housed in the city’s former main library, Roberta’s Society transformed the 1934 building into a vibrant, community-focused environment. Guests can choose from a range of room types including shared beds for budget-conscious travellers, private rooms for those in need of their own space and pods – or ‘Dream Boxes’ – also coming soon.
Their onsite restaurant Cantina serves as a vibrant all-day social space, while the basement plays host to Roberta’s Stage: an ever-changing events venue for gigs, film screenings, talks, performances and more. Launched in Aarhus in 1999 and now based in Copenhagen, Guldsmeden has grown into a global collection of 11 properties spanning Denmark, Germany, France, Iceland, Norway and Bali. Each hotel is distinct yet unmistakably Guldsmeden, filled with Balinese-inspired interiors, reclaimed materials and a strong design DNA that balances warmth with sustainability.
In Copenhagen alone, the brand operates five hotels including Axel Guldsmeden, Manon les Suites and Bryggen Guldsmeden. Each has their own spin on eco-luxury – we’re talking indoor jungle pools, rooftop terraces, organic restaurants, yoga spaces, wellness zones and more. Across the portfolio, the focus is on creating spaces that support slow living, healthy routines and local connection – whether guests are staying for a night or a longer spell.
Sustainability is embedded in the way they build, operate and grow. From circular water systems to high-level organic certifications, the brand has long been ahead of the curve in eco-hospitality.
Guldsmeden is independently owned by founders Sandra and Marc Weinert. With a second German site recently opened in Bremen and a new Aarhus location (Belle Guldsmeden) set to launch in 2026, the group continues to grow – proving that eco-first, values-led hospitality is more relevant than ever.
Scandic Hotels

Scandic Hotels is one of the largest hospitality players in the Nordics – and one of the most quietly progressive. With over 280 properties across six countries, the brand has increasingly turned its attention to hybrid models that serve both overnight guests and the local community.

With 100 rooms, a rooftop bar, and carefully considered interiors, the property feels closer to a boutique lifestyle hotel than a traditional chain – appealing to modern travellers seeking functionality and aesthetic value in equal measure.
Beyond accommodation, Scandic has invested heavily in coworking. In 2020, the group launched the largest network of coworking spaces in the Nordics, activating underused areas across 270+ hotels to support freelancers, remote workers and small businesses. Day passes, memberships and flexible workspaces are available in select Copenhagen properties – a move that aligns with broader trends in work-life integration and mixed-use hospitality.
